About this Product
This beautiful handcut cross is made in three layers. The top layer is made from wooden door skin material, the second layer is the same material but is stained with a red oak stain, and the bottom layer is thin birch plwood to help give strength to the cross. I spent about 2 hours on the scroll saw cutting all three layers. Then all three layers are glued together and a razor hanger is added to the back for hanging. Then the cross receives three coats of laquer to create an amazing cross with depth and beauty. Some of the cutting on the top layer resulted in thin material than can be broken, so please use care when handing this piece.The is one of 5 Celtic crosses I have made. I measures about 9 inches tall and 6 5/8 inches wide and about 1/2 inch thick.

Meet the Maker
Twenty-five years ago I started a passion for cutting products using a scroll saw. I now instruct and demonstrate the wide world of products that can be made on this amazing saw. Everyting is hand cut and hand assemblied in my 25 ft x 30 ft woodshop. I feel that my scrolling experience should be shared with other persons who want to scroll saw, or who appreciate the items that can be produced on this amazing machine. I also believe in giving, so I have given ornaments and wall art to local and national agencies to sell to support their agencyies. I am active in the Central Indiana Woodworkers, who every year donates over 10,000 handmade toys to over 25 agencies my area to be freely distributed to kids. Everthing is handmade in my shop located in the village of New Augusta a few miles north of the Indianapolis 500 racetrack. I enjoy modifying others patterns to create unique pieces of scrolled artwork.
