The original knotwork design for this wood-burned plaque was influenced by the beautiful symbolic Celtic art from places like Ireland. The swan can be found in Irish and Celtic Mythology, representing the constellation Cygnus and links with the mystical peoples Tuatha de Danann and the Otherworld.
A one-of-a-kind design featuring mirrored swans in a knotwork pattern separated by an infinity knot was hand-drawn and wood-burned onto a basswood plaque.

Welcome to Di's Studio Designs! My name is Diane, Di for short. My shop specializes in nature-inspired, whimsical faux floral designs, faux floral candle holders, fairy houses and designs, and Celtic-inspired wood-burned art. How it’s Made
A personally designed double swan theme in the Celtic knot style was hand drawn and traced onto an unfinished 15.5” x 11.5” pine plank and then painstakingly wood burned.
The drawing consists of mirrored swans with intricate knotwork framed by Celtic knots and vines in the four corners. A symbolic infinity knot sits in between the swans.
Low VOC varnish was applied to the front and back of the plank to preserve and protect the piece.
A triangle D hanger is attached for easy hanging.
Felt pads on the back protect the plaque and your wall.
