Meet the Maker
Hello, I'm Josh with Steel Willow!
I create chainmail jewelry and trinkets using a variety of materials, including Bright Aluminum, Anodized Aluminum, Copper, Enameled Copper, NuGold Brass, and Stainless Steel. It is a handmade process, reminiscent of traditional Celtic chainmail armor crafting, in which I use pliers to weave and bend each ring into place. I use only the best quality materials that I have personally tested, and I offer a variety of different products, weave patterns, color combinations, materials, and clasps.
This past year, I began creating chainmail jewelry, finding an immediate passion and aptitude in the craft. As an engineer and fantasy hobbyist, it fascinates me that several hundred metal rings could create such marvelous and functional objects, and this hobby has become a way for me to connect with and learn about my Celtic ancestry. My goal is to support my community by creating affordable and durable jewelry that anyone can enjoy!
