Hi my name is Laura and I have been doing embroidery since 2019. I had been trying out lots of different kinds of embroidery when I stumbled onto Free Standing Lace. I started making lots of earrings for my daughter, myself and gifts for friends and family. When I kept getting compliments and people would tell me I should open up my own shop. I decided to go for it and share my creations on a bigger scale. I hope you love my earrings as much as I do!

How Free Standing Lace Earrings Are Made
Free standing lace (FSL) earrings are crafted using a unique embroidery technique that creates intricate lace designs without any fabric backing. Unlike traditional lace, which is stitched onto cloth, FSL is made entirely from thread and a special temporary base that washes away, leaving only the beautiful lace design behind.
The process begins with a high-quality lace pattern, specially digitized for embroidery machines. This design is stitched onto layers of water-soluble stabilizer using fine embroidery thread. Once the design is complete, the stabilizer is rinsed away, revealing a delicate, lace structure that stands on its own.
After drying and shaping, the lace pieces are carefully finished with earring hooks or other findings, transforming them into lightweight, wearable art. These earrings are not only elegant and eye-catching, but also showcase the perfect blend of traditional craft and modern technology.

If your lace earrings or embroidered jewelry arrive damaged, please contact me immediately with photos so I can make it right.
