About this Product
Child Safety Harness - The Houdini Harness with BUCKLES IN BACK. The harnesses in this listing have shoulders adorned with pastel puzzle pieces.
I have designed my Houdini harness for the child who can undo any buckle! There are no buckles on the adjustable shoulder straps, and the belt buckles are very hard to reach. It is available with a plain back, or with a handle.
Available in four sizes (based on your child's normal clothing size)
Small fits sizes 4 to 7. Chest measurement 19" to 29"
Medium fits sizes 6 to 10. Chest measurement 21" to 31"
Large fits sizes 8 to 12. Chest measurement 23" to 35"
X-Large fits chest 24" - 40" and height 50" - 65"
SIZES ARE BASED ON YOUR CHILD'S CLOTHING SIZE, not their age.
This harness has the Autism Awareness puzzle on the front, with a variety of strap color options. Also available with a soft vinyl handle on the back.
You choose from:
Pink
Sky blue
Yellow
The leash adjusts 3ft to 6ft.
As always, I have kept your child's safety in mind as well as his/her comfort. The buckles are off-center, so no hard plastic on your child's spine.
This harness is fully adjustable for a growing child. It adjusts for chest size and for height.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
CAUTION: A handle on any of the harnesses is intended only for use as a guide or support. It can be used as a gentle restraint, with about as much force applied as holding a hand. The handle is not intended to be used to carry the wearer, or to lift completely off the ground. The harness should be used only in the company of the responsible adult.

Meet the Maker
Hello! I'm Eileen. I'm the designer and maker of everything for sale in my store. I am frequently asked how I came up with these in the first place. It's a good question, with a really long answer, but I will try to shorten it down for you.
In 2003, I was asked to design a harness for toddler skiing. It was a design that put a thought into my head that possibly some parents would like something similar to use for their child's safety rather than recreation. Have you ever had a child disappear in a crowd? That's a panic I have experienced! As it turned out, I am not the only person who thought this was a good idea. But still, a lot of people wanted something different. So, I developed my Houdini harness with the buckles in the back. And still other people wanted a harness that buckles in the front, so I created what I now call the Explorer. On and on this goes. I'm always working on a new option.
How it’s Made
All of the items in my shop were developed by me based upon requests and suggestions from parents and care givers. I design each one considering safety, functionality, durability, comfort, and some aesthetic appeal because we all like to look nice!
