About this Product
Celebrate the holiday season with this handmade Christmas Jelly Roll Race Quilt, crafted from 100% cotton fabric in festive, seasonal colors. Measuring 52x64 inches, this lap or throw quilt is sewn in a popular jelly roll race pattern using multiple 2 ½" strips of Christmas-themed fabrics. The quilt is backed with a rich red tonal vineyard fabric, made from 100% cotton, and layered with a soft 80/20 cotton-poly batting for warmth and durability.
Professionally quilted on a longarm machine, the crossing circle design in red thread adds a beautiful, intricate texture to the quilt. The binding is double-folded and machine stitched on both sides to ensure long-lasting durability, making this quilt perfect for daily use.
Prewashed with “All Free and Clear” detergent, this quilt has been preshrunk to prevent color bleeding and achieve a cozy, crinkled texture. Made in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home, it’s machine washable on a gentle cycle with cold water and can be tumble dried on low heat or line dried for easy care.
The jelly roll race pattern, known for its fun and speedy assembly, is created by sewing 40-42 fabric strips end to end, forming a long 1600+ inch strip. This strip is then folded and sewn together in a fast-paced "race" that gives the quilt its name—a process that's both exciting and beloved by quilters.
Crafted from leftover seasonal fabrics used in several other quilts, this Christmas jelly roll quilt is not only beautiful but eco-conscious. Perfect for cozying up on a chilly evening, it also makes a charming decorative accent when draped over a couch or chair, or folded at the end of a bed.
For a complete holiday look, be sure to check out the coordinating pillow covers and table runners that pair perfectly with this quilt, creating a cozy, festive ambiance for any room.

Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Amanda, and I’m delighted you stopped by my profile! I’m a proud mother of three and a grandmother to six (and counting!). With a bachelor’s degree in architectural design technology, I bring my passion for design into a variety of crafts. Inspired by my mother’s advice to try everything at least once, I’ve immersed myself in the world of creativity. I’ve been crocheting since 1978, beading since 2008, and quilting since 2011, always keeping myself and the children in my life busy with endless crafty projects. My current quilting adventure has led me to explore the captivating jelly roll quilt design. With many of my quilt designs I revel in experimenting with new techniques, color combinations, and piece arrangements, discovering fresh and exciting looks along the way. Along with several family members we create the items in this shop. Together we are the Crafthouse Quilters.
At Crafthouse Quilters, we embark on a mission that extends beyond the mere creation of quilts; it's about curating a unique and artistic experience for every piece as well as redefining the essence of warmth and connection through our meticulously crafted quilts. We believe that the best quilts are not just products; they are manifestations of durability, comfort and artistry, intricately woven into every stitch. We believe that each person is a distinctive soul deserving of a special quilt that resonates with their uniqueness. Whether you find it within our shop or elsewhere, we hope you discover the quilt that speaks uniquely to you.
How it’s Made
Our quilts stand apart from mass-produced competitors because of the meticulous process and care that goes into each handmade piece. Every jelly roll race quilt takes approximately 10 hours to complete, a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship involved.
The journey begins with selecting the perfect fabrics from my leftover stash, which are then ironed and precisely cut into 2 1/2 inch strips. Once I have 40 strips, I trim the selvage and carefully lay them out in an aesthetically pleasing order. The strips are sewn together in a unique jelly roll race style, creating a continuous 1600-inch strip that is then folded, sewn, and cut repeatedly to form the quilt top.
This quilt top is then combined with the batting and backing to form the quilt sandwich, which is quilted on a longarm machine. The final touch is the binding, which finishes the edges and ensures durability.
Beyond crafting the quilt, I also handle the behind-the-scenes work, including photographing, listing, and marketing. Although my photos may not be professional, each one improves as I continue to learn and grow as a quilter.
By highlighting this intricate process, it's clear that our quilts are truly handmade with love and dedication, offering a unique and personal touch that manufactured products simply cannot match.
