I hand-painted a Carolina wren, a favorite bird among many birdwatchers, on this wood slice Christmas ornament. By leaving the background relatively plain, this ornament showcases this loud but tiny bird. Natural wood grain provides the background for an evergreen tree in the snow that is painted on the back of the wood slice. This ornament would be a lovely nature-inspired addition to your Christmas tree, or a great gift for a friend or family member.

Wood type - pine
Ornament size - approximately 3 1/2 inches in height, 3 1/2 inches in width, and 3/8 inches thick
I paint with acrylics, and seal the ornament with polycrylic to preserve the integrity of the paint and wood slice.
Jute twine is threaded through the ornament for hanging
