This should fit most adult heads, although I consider it about a medium. It will be slouchy on smaller heads, and fitted on larger.
The yarn says it can be washed and dried, but I recommend washing on cool/gentle and laying flat to dry to avoid shrinkage and fuzz.
I knit my items in my smoke free (pug friendly) home.
