About this Product

*Here is my Coat Rack Wall Mount constructed from Reclaimed Wood. Great to be used in an entry way, mud room or the bathroom.

*Not only can you use this for coats, it makes a great place for those special hats, horse tack, dog leashes or about anything else you can think of to hang up.

*These pieces are made from repurposed wood. It may still have the saw marks in the wood. If the front and back surfaces have rough saw marks on them, I will plane it down to remove some of the high spots. This process will leave some of the saw character to it. These have been sanded through the grits and is smooth to the touch. Pine and Poplar will be stained dark like the rack in this listing ( unless requested not to do so). All other wood species will be left natural. There might be nail holes, cracks and checks. This is true barn wood and all the variations that comes with it.

*These can be made out of different species of wood. It all depends on what wood I can find available. Requested wood types will try to be accommodated.

*Dimensions are 26 X 6 X thickness can vary 3/4 to 1.5 inches. ( Dimensions are approximate and might vary slightly)

*Special note: Hangers are installed on the back; sixteen inches on center for convenient hanging.

*Make this unique crafted item a part of your home.

Meet the Maker

Somewhere in the mountains and valleys of western North Carolina lies a small woodworking shop named Ash Creek Woodworks. This shop is located on 4th generation property. It is operated by my wife and myself. Inside this shop you will discover power woodworking tools dating back to the 1950's that still are in use today. Also, you will find hand tools that were my grandfathers. By the way, I am a grandfather myself, that lets you know how old some of these tools are. The hands of his great, great grandson have also used his tools. My grandson loves to help his Gramps in the shop when he visits. Also, you will find some modern tools such as variable speed routers, thickness planers and cnc controlled laser to name just a few. We endeavor to provide our customers with a high quality hand made American product at a reasonable price. The vast majority of our resources (wood) comes from local suppliers. We feel this is the most environmentally friendly way for us to conduct business. This also provides jobs to our local economy.

For us, taking a rough sawn slab of wood and turning it in to an attractive product for our customers is very rewarding. As well as taking a piece of 100 year old barnwood and turning it in to something useful instead of it winding up on a burn pile. Whether it's the first pass through the planer and watching the grain come to life or sanding the project through the grits of sandpaper, with each progressing grit you can feel the surface become smoother and smoother. Then at the end when you have hand rubbed the fourth coat of finish on and the wood just glows there is deep satisfaction in what you have created. Thanks for reading our story and we hope we can create something for you.
