Meet the Maker
Hello! I’m LM; I’m 29yo, non-binary, and born and raised in Middle Tennessee. I live with a variety of mental illnesses as well as chronic illness, which I talk about and bring awareness to.
I have a been passionate about mental health and trauma work for several years, really since receiving my first diagnosis at the age of 17. Growing up I lived in a home with DV, and from ages 10-17 I was indoctrinated into a high control form of religion, which absolutely tanked my mental health.
Then in 2016, when I was 21, I developed what I thought was a rare sleep disorder that doctors couldn’t identify the cause of. It eventually got so bad that I ended up spending nearly all of 2017 in bed, usually asleep, and I lost a lot of weight from starvation and malnutrition.
Since 2018, things have gotten better bit by bit, but it has been years of baby steps to get to the point I’m at now. My body is still recovering from what happened (as it turns out, I was experiencing side effects from 2 medications I was taking which caused severe hypersomnia.)
Nowadays things are better: I’m not sleeping more than 12 at a time. I have been able to eat frequent fresh nutritious Whole Foods. I have a little rebounder that is perfect for my level of exercise intensity, which is almost nonexistent. I have friendships online (the internet is the most accessible way for me to socialize and maintain friendships, especially since I can no longer drive.) But I needed something more that was missing: purpose, creativity, an opportunity to create and sell my work.
Thus, Night Owl Clay Co was born out of a need for me to do something that will help me live my best, most independent life while also giving to charity with every purchase.
Night Owl Clay Co has been my baby since I’m not employable due to my mental and physical health issues; in fact, disabled people are more likely to work for themselves, so that is what I’m trying to do.
I love making polymer clay jewelry, and I am planning to expand my crafts from just jewelry.

Orders will be processed within 1-3 business days. Custom orders may require additional processing time.

Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and PayPal.
4. Shipping:
We offer shipping within the United States and International shipping.
5. Returns and Exchanges:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, there are no returns unless an item is found defective damaged due to craftsmanship.
Please provide a photo of damaged within 3 days of delivery. A full refund will be provided minus the cost of shipping.
6. Cancellations:
Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of placing an order. Custom orders cannot be canceled once production has begun.
