About this Product
Major Myks Coffee Sock Drip Set is a far cry from the traditional Costa Rican coffee maker consisting of a chorreador (a device made from a wooden or wire stand) and a colador or bolsita (a sock-like piece of cloth held open by a wire or wood rim).
It's all about balance!
Our hand twisted drip sets are made from one continuous piece of copper tubing and perfectly balanced to hold the weight of fully engaged coffee socks.
This set comes with our original handmade drip stand in either a curved or twisted style and one (1) handmade cotton coffee sock filter. Coffee mugs are not included.
One of the oldest ways to make great coffee, while reducing waste, coffee sock filters are durable and can be used for years (with the right care), they don't need electricity, and all their parts are natural.
With no taste of its own, our finely weaved, non-bleached cotton cloth catches all of the coffee grounds while letting the natural oils seep through, providing a richly aromatic, full-bodied, sometimes oily mouthful.
Easy to clean: empty the grounds, rinse with water and hang to dry.
Simple to use:
• Dampen the coffee sock filter and place it in the copper drip stand.
• Start with 1 tbsp of medium to fine ground coffee to 6 oz of hot water.
• Pour hot water (195-205°F) over your grounds just to wet them (this will activate your coffee).
• Wait 30 seconds then pour hot water over the grounds and watch your coffee stream.
Adjusting the amount of ground coffee and flow of water lets you customize the texture and strength of your brew, resulting in an amazing coffee experience, tailored to your particular taste.
Stand dimensions are: 12" H x 3" W x 6" D. Please allow slight variation. Each package will ship Ground Advantage.

Custom and personalized orders
Each of our drip sets are made to order. Our selection is constantly changing as we discover new coffee brewing instruments. Please contact us if you can't find your dripper. We also create beaker and goblet stands for performance artists in Viking and Renaissance Festivals. Care instructions
CARE OF YOUR STAND: Major Myk’s Coffee Drip Stands are not treated to hasten the natural weathering or to preserve the bright color. Stands will patina naturally or you can use one of these methods to preserve the bright color of your copper stand:

Gift wrapping and packaging
GIFT NOTES: All gift notes MUST be stated at the time of the order, or requested by email. NOTE: we will not be held liable for unclear requests for gift notes. Stating "This order is a gift" is NOT a valid gift note request. You must SPECIFICALLY state what the gift note should say. Thank you!
Shipping
We take great care in sending your order. A tracking code will be provided when your order has shipped. Major Myk's guarantees delivery to the postmaster. We do hand-deliver each item at which time the responsibility moves to the Post Office and then the purchaser. All orders returned to Major Myk's will be reshipped once the purchaser pays all re-shipping fees. Fees must be paid in full prior to re-sending. In the rare circumstance that Major Myk's would elect to refund a purchase, original shipping charges will become the responsibility of the purchaser. Shipping upgrades are available for purchase and must be paid prior to the shipping date.
Exchanges
Each of our drip sets are made to order. Major Myk's does not provide refunds. We handle exchanges for another item on a case-by-case basis and place customer satisfaction at the center of our policy decisions. If you would like to discuss an exchange, please email us within 24 hours of delivery. Please note that all items are limited and may not be available for exchange. NOTE: Major Myk's does not provide return shipping labels. Should an exchange be granted, the purchaser is responsible for all return or re-shipping fees. In the rare circumstance that Major Myk's would elect to refund a purchase, original shipping charges will become the responsibility of the purchaser and be deducted from the original purchase price.
Pricing and Taxes
All prices are subject to change without notice. We are under no obligation to honor any price comparison to a prior order or to quotes older than two weeks. We accept direct payment. They system will accept and pay taxes on our behalf.
You will receive a confirmation of your order through the system. This is your receipt.
