One of a kind, live edge premium, heirloom table made from Primavera Wood grown in Central America.
This wood was hand selected by purging through numerous live edge slabs. The wood grain pattern on this table is outstanding!

Spectacular Primavera Live Edge Wood Slab with spectacular grain.
Custom designed metal legs made by FlowyLine adorn this table.
These legs have adjustable feet to accomadate most floors.
Also, these legs are powder coated to prevent rust.
Legs are attached to table using stainless steel furniture inserts.
2 coats of hand rubbed Rubio Monocoat oil/ hardwax finish was applied.

Meet the Maker
Growing up in a small town in Ohio, Ken worked for his father building custom homes. During this time, he developed a profound understanding and appreciation for every aspect of carpentry.
In 1976, Ken and his wife (Sally) moved to Littleton, Colorado where they raised their two wonderful children. In 1985, Ken became a real estate broker and started his own successful real estate business, retiring in 2016. Ken also loves playing acoustic guitar and when he is not in the work shop, you'll find him performing at various venues as a solo artist in the Denver metro area. He also co-produces a monthly acoustic concert series, helping to showcase & promote various local talented musicians.
Ken's deep-seated love for carpentry was the inspiration that moved him to create Ken's Custom Woodworks. Our passion is to create custom, heirloom-quality home decor and furniture that our clients will cherish for generations to come. Each piece is thoughtfully made with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. We work with our clients to bring their vision to life, using locally sourced materials to create a truly unique piece. How it’s Made
The orginal wood slab was 10 feet long. This table was cut from that original 10 foot slab.
All bark from the original slab has been removed using hand tools. Bark should never be left on live slab tables because eventually, it will start to fall off.
Sanded, water popped numerous times and cut to size.
Custom leggs were attached using furniture inserts and epoxy.
2 coats of hand rubbed Rubio Monocoat hard wax/oil finish was applied to top and underneath the table. Why finish both sides of the table when no one ever looks or cares about the underside of the table?
Answer: I finish both sides of the table to help prevent it from potentially warping by sealing the entire table, kind of like an envelope if you will. This sealing of the entire table helps prevent moisture/humidity from getting into the wood. If a customer who lived in a humid climate bought this table and I had only sealed the top, the naked underside is still exposed to humidity and can potentially warp the entire table...that is why I seal the entire table.
I grew up building custom homes with my father and was involved with many facets of carpentry.
Working with wood is kind of in my DNA.
I am a perfectionist by nature and very meticulous about my craft. LOL, my wife says I can only OCD on one thing at a time and reluctantly, I have to agree! We have been married over 50 years, she would know.
If I build something it has to be as close to perfect as possible and of the highest quality.
It also has to stand the test of time and that is why I refer to my products as Heirloom pieces whether they be tables, cutting boards, serving trays, shadow box frames, lazy Susans, etc.
