About this Product

I can’t get over the beautiful, deep copper color of this wheel thrown mug, in contrast with the lovely bright turquoise. It’s like fire and ice. This is my favorite combination of glazes. The handle is a comfy 3 finger handle, and it holds 16oz of your favorite hot beverage.

Meet the Maker

Hello! I’m Carrie, the face behind Meandering Stream Ceramics! I took my first pottery class in January 2023, and was hooked. Now I need to sell some pieces to make room in my house, and to support my habit. ;) I’m often inspired by nature and the colorful world we live in.

My day job is teaching singing lessons! Music is my first passion. My husband is also a musician - we met in music school! Our family is rounded out with our 2 adult kids, and our rescue doggo Bailey. We live in the far west burbs of Chicago, but have family connections to Northern Michigan and Newfoundland, Canada. I am often inspired, and awed, by the beauty of where we grew up.

How it’s Made

This beautiful mug is thrown on a pottery wheel. The pulled handle is attached after it dries a bit, and the bottom is formed. The glazes are carefully hand brushed, and are food safe. It is a one of a kind piece.

Shop Policies

All products are final sale only, no returns, no exchanges.

Products will be shipped within 2 weeks of order placement.

Please contact shop asap if item arrives broken, and share a photo of item and packaging.

I suggest hand washing items, but most are dishwasher and microwave safe, unless otherwise stated in the item listing.

Glazed with safe, lead-free glazes, suitable for dinnerware.

These are unique, one of a kind, handmade ceramic items. There may be small imperfections, but none that disrupt the functionality of the piece.

Handmade ceramics are made with love and soul, unlike mass produced store items. I put a lot of thought into the creation, shape, and glazing of each and every piece.

It’s this connection that makes them special!
