Theses are wonderful handmade Brutalist earrings featuring textured and oxidized copper marquise shaped bars that dangle faceted spotted quartz beads in a beautiful shade of dark aqua blue. The teardrops are heavily textured in a random pattern, oxidized and formed into a monoclastic or concave shaped, and then polished to bring out the design. They drop from handmade rose gold filled ear wires and are 2 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide.

How it’s Made
I created these artisan earring with 22 gauge copper sheet that I cut and filed into the elongated marquise shapes. Then using a texturing hammer, I created the random Brutalist pattern. Then I oxidized them, and formed them into a monoclastic or concave shape, then polished the bars to reveal the unique pattern. Next, I added 7 mm spotted quartz beads and attached them to the marquise bars with a wire wrapped loop. I made the ear wires with 20 gauge rose gold filled wire that I formed into the shepherd's hook design and then tapped to work harden and strengthen them.
