About this Product

Tear-drop shaped, Bohemian copper wire weave earrings accented with lemon-colored Baltic amber beads.

I created these earrings by weaving raw copper wire and embellishing it with amber beads from Lithuania. The ear wires are niobium, which is hypoallergenic. I oxidized and polished the earrings to create an antique effect.

I finished these earrings with a non-tarnish coating to protect the finish. If you avoid getting them wet, the coating will last longer. If it wears off over time, you can use the polishing cloth I included in the back of the box.  As the earrings are wire woven, it is also best to try to avoid getting them snagged.

If something does happen, please feel free to contact me via GoImagine or by sending an email to cobaltdragonflyart@gmail.com.  If you return the item to me (at your cost) I will do my best to repair and return it to you at no additional cost to you.

These earrings are approximately 1 ¾ inches (45 mm) long total from the top of the ear wire. They hang about 1 3/8 inches (35 mm) below the ear wire.

Amber beads are from the Etsy shop AmberBeadStore in Lithuania.

Meet the Maker

I got in trouble for doodling mandalas at school, even though I didn’t know the word “mandala” at the time. I love to create art and jewelry, sometimes drawing on spiritual traditions such as the paganism of my ancestors in Lithuania.

I’ve never met a craft I didn’t like, but wire weaving jewelry is my favorite.  I am fascinated by different stones, their colors, patterns, their shimmer or flash, and their symbolism. When I start working with a stone, I visualize and sketch the style of setting that feels right. Then I have fun figuring out how to connect all the elements.  The actual process of weaving is both meditative and deeply satisfying.

It is always my hope that after a piece comes together, the wearer will feel some of the joy I felt in the creative process.
