This is another upcycled project for my 2025 goal :o)
SHOULDER BAG
The body of this purse is made from a dark purple corduroy fabric with a fine wale – It has a vintage piece of rust silk with embroidered flowers for the flap (This still retains the original black border and rust color backing that is stamped ‘Made in China’) – The bag closes with a black zipper, the flap is for looks
It is lined in a fun cotton fabric in orange and cream print with one flat pocket
The strap is brown faux leather belt that is braided and has tassels on the ends
It is 10 ½” wide x 10” tall – It has a 2” wide side and bottom giving it a boxy look
The flap is 7 ½” wide x 8” long
The strap is 43” long plus 3 ½” tassels
Care: Spot clean only with cold water as the silk coloring may run

Meet the Maker
I am a mom of 2 and Grandma to 3 precocious little ones! I have crafted my entire life (Thanks, MOM!) and worked the last 16 years in a Tailoring Shop. Now that I am retired, it is time to share my stash of "creations". I sew, knit, crochet and embroider mostly, although I have dabbled in painting some wood crafts and am attempting some jewelry creations. I am an active "scavenger" for vintage fabric, trims, buttons, beads, buckles, baubles and other odd items to use in my creations. Because of this, I rarely make the same item twice the same way. I feel this ensures a type of personalization for each unique customer!
