A retired scientist with a lifelong passion for anything on four wheels, one of my earliest memories is watching a Formula One race on city streets on my grandfather's black-and-white TV. From that day forward, I was hooked on racing! Growing up in the '70s, I loved everything automotive and could name almost every car in production. I devoured all the car magazines I could get my hands on, falling asleep reading Road and Track and dreaming of one day owning my own sports car.

As newlyweds, my wife and I visited the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and promised ourselves that one day we would buy a Corvette and pick it up at the museum. With lots of hard work and saving, we made this dream happen almost exactly 20 years to the day we first dreamt it. I've followed all forms of racing, specifically Formula One and IndyCar, since I was a teenager. I've been fortunate to attend many races, from the Indy 500 to the 24 Hours of Daytona.

I came to motorcycling later in life, in my 40s, and fell in love with everything on two wheels. Nowadays, you can find me riding as much as possible—on my motorcycles in the summer or on my Ural sidecar in the snow during winter. This also sparked an interest in motorcycle racing specifically MotoGP which is my new racing passion.

Once I retired, I wanted to do something completely different from the sciences and decided to try my hand at art. Using my expertise with complex software and optical scientific equipment, I got into laser cutting and started designing clocks and wall hangings. I've been fortunate that my designs have appealed to fellow motorheads, allowing me the privilege of sharing their passion and creating unique items for them. Nothing brings a bigger smile to my face than working on a personalized piece and knowing it will be proudly displayed in someone's home, showcasing their moto passion.
