Hello and welcome to my corner of Go Imagine!
After my crisis counselor shifts, I always looked for ways to decompress after my shifts. I found fluid art painting through YouTube and it brought a sense of ease and calm so I could fall asleep. I started dabbling in this art last summer and it has been so fulfilling and joyful, such a release. Friends and family know how important mental health awareness is to me and I wanted to share that through my art. If I can bring joy and peace to anyone with this art that playfully flows across the canvas, that fills my soul.

How it’s Made
I created this piece using a wrecked flower split cup pour technique. This piece began with carefully layered fluid acrylics poured through a flower split cup sitting on top of the middle of the canvas, allowing each color to bloom organically. As the paint flowed onto the canvas, it formed a central ‘flower’ motif with dramatic petal-like shapes. I used intentional wrecking movements to distort and break up the design—introducing tension, movement, and emotion—transforming the bloom into a beautifully chaotic composition. I spun the piece to allow the paint to flow and cover the entire canvas. Then after 3-4 weeks of drying and proving, for the paint to soak into the canvas fully, I varnished the piece with Liquitex gloss varnish.
