Meet the Maker
Hi, I’m Megan and things are a little quacky here!
Ducks Never Waver started when I was going through severe health issues and one day I saw some ducks swimming in frigid water, doing their thing, just excited to be ducks. I decided I wanted that, maybe not to be a literal duck, but to be creative and have a beauty filled life! I’ve been doing fiber arts since I was 9 and I am still so excited about creating one of a kind pieces! Always keeping comfort and ease in mind, I’ll throw in an nod to ancient crafts, bold color combos, or an eclectic use of materials that make you go “mmmhhmm that’s a bit quacky!”
My hope for my products is that they express the beauty that God has created and show the healing quality of art for the maker and you!
How it’s Made
Hand crocheted cardigan. I wanted to explore the triple crochet stitch, which isn't used very often in garments. The result really shows off the subtleties of the yarn and creates a wonderfully soft and drapey cardigan.
After treating the wool with a mordant, I dyed it with coffee creating a beautiful brown.
My brother made the buttons with resin and coffee beans.
