About this Product
This listing is a downloadable pattern only.
When I was wondering what to call this design one of my daughters suggested combining the word liberty and birdies. That's how this fun pattern came to be called "American Libirdies". You can stitch it on the fabric of your choice or get
similar results using oatmeal-colored 14-count Aida fabric.
Choose from 3 options (the original - with no snow), The true white version, or the Americana version which uses a more vintage-looking off-white)
The design area is 93 x 93 stitches.
The finished design fits an 8”x 8“ frame or mat opening.
(Adding three inches on each side of the grid is suggested
to allow an adequate edge when framing)
Three large print versions of this pattern are included along with a
color symbol chart for DMC embroidery floss.
Where Ivy Grows
Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Charlene. I'm a mom and grandma to 7 amazing people, plus their spouses. I recently retired from my job working with special needs children. This was my passion and one of my most rewarding jobs for about 20 years. Creating things has also been a passion for me. I'm always making or designing something and I usually can't keep up with all the crazy ideas that pop into my head. I have gradually over the years created a line of digital download cross-stitch patterns and sold hundreds through another online marketplace. When I discovered goImagine I loved the concept. Helping children with my creations seems like a win, win situation that I will love being a part of.
Just in case you're wondering where the name “Where Ivy Grows” comes from...
There's an ivy plant sitting in my kitchen window with a 50-year family history. It started by taking cuttings from a wedding bouquet and rooting them. Descendants of these cuttings have continued all these years. Some years they have thrived, others they have all but died out but always there has been a small part of this plant to begin again. It's no wonder that Ivy symbolizes foreverness, eternity, faith, commitment, and loyalty! That's how the name "Where Ivy Grows" came to be. My ivy is a reminder to nurture all of these things in my life. These designs from my heart and my home where ivy grows are a way for me to share some of these qualities through my designs and creations. I hope you will find them to be a blessing and that they will become meaningful treasured keepsakes for you as well.
