Meet the Maker
I’ve been a creator of handmade for as far back as I can remember. And I have my hands in many forms of media. So within this shop you will see a “Gift” Shop of some of the various media I use to be creative.
I’ve been a candle maker since 2005, but you could say that my interest in candle making started many years earlier. When I was about 13, while I was home alone, I decide that I would try my hand at making a candle... out of crayons!! That was the most atrocious smelling experiment ever and I can honestly say, my parents were not happy with my candle making skills at the time. Fast forward about 30 years, and my candle making skills have much improved. After 6 months for thorough testing and developing just the right blends, I open my brick and mortar candle shop and website. I love creating special blends for that unique candle.
I began sewing as a young teenager, after spending countless hours watching my grandmother create beautiful clothes for her granddaughters. Over the years I dabbled in quilt making, clothing my my own children and then progressed to working with brides maid dresses. Although I do still sew, I’ve turned my passion for needle and thread from a sewing machine to an embroidery machine so you will see a lot of my creations at www.createsewmuch.com which showcases all of my embroidered creations.
