These stunning colorized curly maple bobbins are hand-turned and finished to perfection. They are heat-stabilized, so no oils or waxes are used in the finishing process, ensuring that your fibers or threads will not be marred or stained. Each bobbin is one-of-a-kind, as the size and shape may vary slightly (with overall length between 6-7/8" and 8-1/4" and shaft lengths between 2-7/8" and 3-3/8"), as well as variations in grain and color. However, the listing will include a photo of the exact bobbin you will receive. Curly maple is a unique and widely sought after wood grain pattern produced in some hard and soft maple trees. This naturally forming grain of each bobbin has been infused with color to create totally unique tapestry experiences. The grain pattern will shimmer with three dimensional depth when moved in your hand. Organize yarn by color, or just enjoy a well turned and colorful tool! These bobbins are truly unique for both their hand turned qualities and material choices. The bobbins are built to last and can be passed down as heirlooms for future generations.
