Special features: All of my dolls are made with the arms sewn in during assembly, a unique feature of my own design that adds greatly to the durability of the doll. Her arms can raise and lower naturally by her sides without fear of loosening or detachment. I also fortify the necks of my dolls with soft foam encased wire. This prevents the neck from becoming limp! The doll is still soft and huggable, but will keep her shape.
Care: This doll should be spot cleaned with mild soap and warm water on a washcloth and allowed to air dry. Any machine washing and drying will compromise the shape and hairstyle of the doll. My dolls are carefully made by hand. Though they are designed for durability, it is best to handle them gently. This doll's hair is attached with this style in mind and is meant to stay in place. And as always, handmade sometimes means subtle imperfections, but I think this adds to the charm of these wonderful heirloom pieces. *It is recommended that children be supervised while playing with this product.*
Allergy Caution: I do have a pet cat, though he is considerate enough to stay out of my craft room. What a gentleman.
Rosy Dolls
Meet the Maker
With three daughters (all of whom possess wild imaginations), I’ve always been a big believer in the whimsy of a cherished handmade doll. My mom made them for me when I was a little girl, so I was excited to share that experience with my own girls when they were finally old enough. I loved the way they looked at their new dolls, knowing the love and care that went into creating each one. My youngest daughter’s name is Heidi. She has always loved dolls, whether they were handmade or store bought. And no matter how many dolls she received, she named them all “Rosy.” Now that my girls are getting older, I’m developing my own designs, and I’m excited to share them with all of you.
What is special about these dolls? My dolls are uniquely designed with the arms sewn in during assembly! This means no loosening or detaching of the arms and they can raise and lower more naturally. Each of my dolls is a unique and one of a kind creation. They are designed, handmade and hand embroidered by me, made to last for generations. I am currently taking commissions for custom dolls. DM me and we can discuss details. I would love to work with an author of a children’s book to create a doll for your book! To be clear, I do make art dolls but I keep my work G rated.
How it’s Made
This doll is made using cotton fabric, acrylic yarn, standard embroidery thread and poly-fil. Her dress is made with cotton fabric as well and fastened with velcro. Her boots are made of felt and she has cotton eyelet lace bloomers.

FAQ:
Q: Are your products safe for children?
A: Because of toy laws, I cannot recommend my dolls for children without recommending supervision. I do take extra precaution to increase safety and durability. I use velcro instead of buttons to avoid choking hazards. Many of my dolls do have a foam encased wire to fortify the neck.
Q: Are the clothes of your dolls removable?
A: Yes, all clothing is removable! The shoes sometimes need a little gentle stretching to get back on.
Q: Where do you get your designs/patterns?
A: All my designs and patterns are my own. My unique method of attaching the arms of my dolls adds exponentially to the dolls' durability and allows for more natural movement.
Q: Do you do all your own embroidery?
A: Yes, all my dolls have hand embroidered faces and I design and embroider the faces myself!
