About this Product
I really enjoy building custom hope chests. It's something I’ve been doing for a while as a hobby, and now I’m hoping to share that passion by making them for others. These chests make meaningful gifts for weddings, housewarmings, or baby showers, and it feels good to create something that people can use and keep for years to come.
Each chest is carefully cut, assembled, and finished with a lot of attention to detail. I use dovetail joints for strength and durability (and they just look great). Each piece is sized approximately 40” L x 16” W x 20” H. The chests are big enough for storing blankets, keepsakes, or whatever you want to tuck away.
The hope chests in the images above are made from walnut and cedar. I can also make them from poplar (for painting), southern yellow pine, rustic white oak, rustic alder, cherry, and wormy chestnut (upon special request). If you’re looking for a different type of wood, feel free to ask—I can usually make it happen.
I can do custom engraving, so you can add names, dates, or a message to make it more personal. If you have something specific in mind just reach out. I’m happy to talk through options.
Every piece is made to order, so each one is a little different. That’s part of the charm.
Let me know if you have any questions or want to talk about customizations.
