  • GETTING STARTED:

Step 1: Order - Choose the size & pricing for your portrait. I will start your pet portrait painting once I receive your order.

Step 2: Choose a photo - Send me 3-5 electronic pictures of your pet. I will be painting directly from the photos you send to me. It’s really important that you send me high-quality photos with the following features:

    • A bright and sharp photo that includes lots of details of your pet's eyes - where the eyes are highly visible and showing how lively they are.

    • High resolution photos (if possible) so that when I expand the picture to add detail to the portrait, it still shows details rather than getting fuzzy. The higher the quality of your photos, the more realistic your painting will turn out.

    • Good contrast between the dog and its background — try to provide pictures of the dog with a brighter background so all of the dog's features can be distinguished from the background.

Step 3: Reviewing - I will message/email you a virtual copy for your review to ensure you are happy with it.

Step 4: Shipping - Once I receive your approval, the painting will be ready for shipping 4 days later (as I need to seal and varnish the painting).

Pet Portraits by Iris

Meet the Maker

I grew up in Malaysia & Singapore. I had always loved art as a child and often had my paintings hung on the display board at my school as exemplary art. The biggest motivation that led me to where I am today is when I received an award as the best artist during my final year in high school.

During my leisure time as I grew older, I would paint, and most of my paintings included replications of pictures. One day, a dear friend’s dog, Lola (a sweet, well-mannered and loyal companion), passed away. So, I decided to paint a portrait of her as a way to capture my fond memory of her. I immediately fell in love with the entire process of painting Lola, especially her eyes. I became obsessed with ensuring that her portrait would depict the unique and beloved soul she was.

After many compliments from customers and friends about my pet portrait paintings, I finally decided to pull the plug from years of working as a graphic artist and preschool teacher, to solely focus on painting pet portraits, as well as traveling.

When I paint, I’m engaged and engrossed in every detail of my work. What is most important to me is seeing the pleased faces of my customers along with fulfilling my own expectations of my work.
