Let's design a custom walker basket for yourself, grandparent, friend, or family member. I am happy to create the perfect, personalized gift with hand picked fabric, creative details, and even custom embroidery.
I can make the basket for standard walkers (this listing) or roller/seated walkers. The basket can hold items like water bottles, remote controls, pens, books, tissue, and whatever you need to keep handy.
Upcycled and vintage fabrics and notions can be used if you are interested.

I'm sole owner, sewer & everything for my sewing & crafting business. I love the feeling of delivering hand-crafted items to my customers.
Why do I sew?
When I was a little girl my mom used to make my "first day of school" outfits every year. I was so proud! When Mom gave me her sewing machine (that's older than me) I was thrilled and used it exclusively up until a few years ago. Since then my machine and fabric stash has grown exponentially!
Years later I sewed a walker basket for my grandma and I knew she wasn't excited to have a walker so the least I could do was make it FUN and COLORFUL! When I saw her reaction and heard that other people were asking about the basket I decided that I would open an Etsy shop to sell them to other folks.
With my Etsy shop I hope to pass along that same feeling and to have personality and style shine through the items I make, bringing a more personal touch to gift giving. Whether you are buying for yourself or for someone else I want to make you smile when you get that box in the mail! I want you to feel like you were a big part of making this idea come to life.
I've expanded my listings over the years, sewing aprons and costumes for my daughter, made a funny pillow case for a customer, and so on. As I've grown little by little, I've become more excited than ever to grow the business and I've decided to make the brand even more personal. In an homage to my Scottish heritage, I am renaming my shop from cc designs and gifts to ThistleStitch Gifts.
