I’m Tony, a woodworker based in Scotia, NY. After 40 years of marriage and raising three wonderful kids (and now enjoying time with three amazing granddaughters), I turned my lifelong woodworking hobby into a small business.
At Wooden Tray Shop, I handcraft every piece to order — from personalized serving trays to rustic kitchen decor. I believe gifts should be meaningful, made with care, and built to last. Thanks for supporting handmade and helping me do what I love!
How it’s Made
Each tray starts as a simple piece of rough lumber — hand-selected for its unique grain, knots, and character. I cut, plane, and sand every board in my small workshop to create a smooth, durable surface that still shows the natural beauty of the wood.
Once the base is shaped, I carefully set real ceramic or stone tile inlays into each tray, giving every piece its own one-of-a-kind look. The tiles are sealed in place, and the wood is finished with multiple coats of protective oil and satin topcoat to bring out the warm tones and ensure long-lasting durability.
Sturdy metal handles are then added for easy carrying and a touch of rustic charm. For the wine-glass versions, precision-cut holders are crafted and fitted to securely cradle the glasses and bottle — turning a simple serving tray into a complete wine experience.
Every tray is made by hand, start to finish — no mass production, no shortcuts. Just real wood, real craftsmanship, and a love for creating pieces that bring people together.

Processing Time
All items are handmade to order. Please allow 7–10 business days for production before your order ships.
Shipping
Orders are shipped via USPS
You will receive tracking info once your item ships.
We are not responsible for carrier delays but will help track your order if issues arise.
Returns & Exchanges
Custom orders are non-returnable unless damaged in shipping.
If your item arrives damaged, contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos.
For non-custom items, returns may be accepted within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of ordering. After that, production begins and cancellations may not be accepted.
