We use authentic Brass Zippo lighters! Our process engraves deep into the Zippo to give a durable engraving which will stand the test of time. Don't settle for a cheap painted on design, or a light burn/marking that others quick engrave on the Zippo surface. We engrave -deep- so you can see and feel the engraving!

To get started we need a digital photo and/or the details of what you would like designed. Remember the lighter is rectangle shaped and we may have to crop/adjust your photo to fit if you send us an odd sized photo. Also make sure that the photo is in focus. We will personally assist with every single order one-on-one to design and proof the order to your liking. Then we will engrave your custom lighter.

The Zippos that we engrave are made from brass. We do not engrave the painted lighters because deep engraving would weaken the painted surface.
We polish each lighter after we engrave to a wonderful shine. (But we can give the lighter an antique look upon request). Brass has a wonderful gold color which will gradually age and darken over time into a timeless vintage-inspired look. Brass is a reflective metal and when held at different angles, or under different types of lighting the appearance will change due to reflections and other factors. Like antique brass furnishings and heirlooms passed down through generations, your lighter will develop its own special character over time. Legal Notice: Note that custom engraving does void the manufacturers warranty on the lighter. Zippo will not cover someone else's work. However we stand behind our engravings 100% and if there would be a problem with the lighter we will of course be happy to assist you. While we use Zippo lighters, we are not the manufacturer. You are hiring us to engrave a lighter for your own personal use. By ordering you are agreeing to the terms and understand the conditions. Lighters are shipped without lighter fluid due to postal regulations on flammable liquids. You will need to buy fluid for your lighter from a gas station or store like Walmart where its just a few dollars for a can of it. If you have any questions...please message us!

How it’s Made
While there are many people who engrave lighters, we are one of the few that do deep engraving of photos into the actual metal case. Our process takes several hours to engrave a single lighter. All we need is a good in-focus photograph or even a drawing/logo and we will crop and adjust your photo to fit the lighter. We can even add dates, names, phrases or other artwork upon request. We will work one-on-one with you to make the perfect design! Once the lighter is engraved we polish the brass to a super shine, or we can antique the look to make it darker/aged.

Shop Policies
Most of the engraving that we do is created from personal names and photos. When you place an order we will work with you to make the design exactly how you want it. A virtual design proof will be sent to you to review before we actually engrave your design. The proof must be approved before the order will proceed to production. Once the proof is approved, the order is moved immediately into production and cannot be cancelled. Due to photography lighting, various printing methods, computer monitor variations the color of the items may appear slightly different than the actual item received. It is important that you fully review the design proof to make sure there are no mistakes, typos, and that the layout is how you want it. Because we make custom merchandise, we cannot accept a return or issue a refund once the item is made. However if there is a problem with an item received we need to know within 24 hours of receipt of the shipment so that we can assist properly. If a package is lost or damaged in shipment, then a claim will need to be made with the shipping company which we will assist with. If it is a quality issue, broken item, etc then we will of course assist to make things right for you!
All logos, emblems, copy, or similar material supplied by any source other than Turner Engraving to produce an order, it is agreed and understood that Turner Engraving shall be acting as the agent of the customer on the use of such material. The customer, as principal, shall be responsible to comply with all laws regarding copyright, trademark, patent, right of privacy, licensing, or similar right of protection, and shall indemnify and save harmless Turner Engraving, its agent, for any suits, claims, or actions of any nature for damages, expenses, or costs which may arise by reason of Turner Engraving using said material in accordance with the customers direction, all of which shall be considered within the scope of the aforementioned agency relationship. Trademarks and logos shown by Turner Engraving are merely depicted to represent the products and/or ability to decorate/engrave them, but were never meant to imply the decorations were created by this company or that the products with any specific decorations are available to any purchaser without the consent of the owners of the trademarked or copyrighted art or copy. Trademarks and logos shown do not imply endorsement of our products by their owners. Turner Engraving reserves the right to use all supplied artwork in our displays and advertising unless we are notified in writing at the time the order is placed.
