An onigiri is a Japanese rice ball, usually wrapped in seaweed. If you are like me, and you go crazy about cute, small bud vases, you will love these adorable onigiri vases! This little onigiri vase, dressed in a seaweed kimono adorned with star decorations, has the cutest face! It comes with a bouquet of flowers, so you never have to worry about what to put in it.
Each onigiri vase comes with a mini paper flower bouquet and comes beautifully gift wrapped, ready for gifting. It makes a wonderful gift for yourself or someone you love, and is perfect for just about any occasion - Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day and Christmas, to name a few!

Our small batch ceramic pieces are made with great attention to detail and craftmanship, and we hope they will become special keepsakes for years to come.
How it’s Made
These onigiri vases are lovingly shaped by hand, so each and every one of these vases is unique and one of a kind. The adorable faces and seaweed wraps of these onigiri are hand-painted using underglazes. They are then bisque fired, then covered with a clear glaze before undergoing the final glaze firing process. To create the star pattern on the seaweed wrap, the stars are etched by hand into the underglaze.
