Meet the Maker
Hi, my name is Kelly Hawkes. I am an art teacher, mother of two active boys and one collie named Tuka. I started Hawkeshollow when my boys were little and I wanted to create bedrooms unique to their interests and passions. I found with my art degree I could create the custom room decor myself and found great joy in doing so. I would love to share my skills and help you create that perfect space for your precious little one. I provide hand painted dresser knobs, switch plates, tissue boxes, wastebaskets and canvas wall art. Each piece is hand painted with great care. I really enjoy working with customers to assist them in bringing their vision to life. I look forward to working with you!
How it’s Made
These switch plates are NOT printed or decoupaged. Each metal switch plate is sanded and primed with metal primer to ensure adhesion. Then the design is hand drawn and painted with acrylic paint. Great care is given to each hand crafted piece. The plate will have 4 coats of gloss finish and come with hand painted match screws.
