About this Product

Years ago some people called me the FROG LADY. I painted a lot of frogs then. A big reason was because that was about the time science was talking about what humans were doing to our environment. Frogs are one of the first animals to reap our ill effects on their homes. Because they live in wet areas mostly, where there is a lot of water run off, all the chemicals and fertilizers and pesticides affect these little guys first. Maybe fish and snakes are right there with them.Anyway, I feel bad for what we are doing to our world and the only way I have to show my remorse is thru my art. When my art sells I can buy more supplies to keep on painting and making statements in my own way. I love being outside in nature, making landscapes and paintings of BEE's and dragonfly's and bird's, so you see I am probably more aware of what's happening to nature more than other people. I am trying to be more abstract in my thinking and creating as you will see soon. Some of my newer work will not look like nature as we know it but a more stylized, abstract nature. This piece is 19.5" tall by 10.5" wide under glass. I will have to tape the glass and use extra bubble wrap for a safe journey. I can send straight to your recipient with your sentiments on a card and gift wrapped if you like. NO extra charge.

Meet the Maker

Sue is an artist living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of SW Virginia, Salem to be exact. She has painted most of her life and hopes to be painting when she passes. She has dabbled in all the mediums and currently enjoys collage. Preferring to stay indoors, since the heat has gotten so bad, in the autumn or spring she still enjoys plein aire painting.

How it’s Made

I used to work in a frame shop so I make most of my frames and cut the mats and glass, etc. I made the reproductions myself with a special secret process from my original paintings.

I made the jewelry that is between the prints just for some additional bling.

This is a grand size for oddball places . Tall & vertical. I suggest cutting a piece of paper to this size and see if the size works for your space.
