How it’s Made
The Festivus pole consists of 2 parts - the aluminum pole and the base. The pole is simply cut from stock aluminum tubing. The base is made from pine. I take a pine board and cross cut it and sand the thickness. The base is grain side up which makes it look nicer. The corners are rounded, the center hole is drilled and the edge is rounded over also. Then the base is finished with a polyurethane to make the grain pop.
