This one-of-a-kind purple agate pendant is wrapped in sterling silver wire and features swirling patterns of lavender, tan, and white, with striking black dendrites flowing through like a river. The stone was found by a friend of mine during a rockhounding trip to the Burro Creek area in Arizona, where we discovered a small patch of beautiful purple stones. Sometimes called “Damsonite,” this unique variety of agate offers a captivating blend of colors and natural artistry.
I love how the black dendrites seem to float in the purple matrix, accompanied by flowing waves of warm tan and soft white. This pendant brings out the best of that natural movement in a clean, contemporary design.

• Sterling silver wire (nickel-free, tarnish-resistant)

• Bail opening: 9 mm – fits chains or cords up to 8.5 mm

Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Diane and I am the owner and artist of Artisan Rockhound. I started out as a Rockhound (a person who searches for and collects rocks and minerals as a hobby) and became an Artisan (a skilled craft worker who makes or creates material objects partly or entirely by hand). I still love rockhounding and do it any chance I get plus I enjoy talking about rocks to whoever wants to listen.
Everything I sell is made in my Arizona, USA workshop with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The leather pouches I make with high quality Elk and Deer hide that I hand pick from various vendors. I use only glass beads, natural gemstones, metal, and authentic antler/bones as embellishments. All my products are proudly made in the USA. Each one is a unique one of a kind work of art. My products are already made when they enter the shop so they are ready to ship as soon as you buy them.

How it’s Made
Each of my pendants begin with a natural gemstone I hand-select for its unique beauty and character. This particular piece of purple agate was discovered while out rockhounding near Burro Creek, Arizona — a hidden gem in more ways than one. After carefully shaping and smoothing the stone, I wrap it by hand using sterling silver wire and basic hand tools, forming a secure and elegant setting that highlights the stone’s natural patterns. Every curve and coil is shaped with intention, ensuring the final piece is both durable and artistically expressive. No two are ever alike.
