To create a scrunchie, start by cutting a strip of fabric. Fold this strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, to form a tube. Sew along the long edge, but leave the ends unsealed. Attach a safety pin to one end of the tube and use it to turn the tube right-side out. After threading the elastic through the tube and both ends emerge, remove the safety pin. Then, either tie or sew the ends of the elastic together. Finally, adjust the fabric evenly along the elastic to give your scrunchie a voluminous, fluffy appearance.
