About this Product

This is a DIGITAL (Printable) version of my little Foraging Log for kids. It is formatted for use with both letter sized (8.5x11) and A4 size paper (the paper size used throughout the world, except for North America). It prints HALF-SIZED and requires a bit of cutting and putting together after printing. Once printed, you can bind your book by using an adjustable 3-hole punch and small binder, or you can spiral or coil bind either at home or through your local office supply shop (such as Staples). (For info on pre-printed hard copies of this book, visit www.twigandmoth.com/books)

This simple and easy to use Foraging Log includes 104 pages and is a great size take along in a foraging bag or backpack. There are 46 pages (front and back) with wide ruled lines for recording the name, date, weather, location & terrain, gathering notes, and what the foraged find was used for. There is even a space to sketch your plant, mushroom, lichen, etc. This little log was designed for children of all ages because foraging is a life-long skill! In the front few pages of this log is a place to record the owner’s name, tips for using this log, illustrations of a few common leaf shapes, warnings of things to lookout for when foraging, three plants to avoid even touching, an illustrated list of handy tools to have when foraging, and a few book suggestions.

I do my best to portray colors accurately, however different monitors (and cameras) will vary in how they display colors.

For gift and personal use only. NOT FOR RESALE. Please feel free to purchase once and print out multiple copies for homeschool or nature study groups. Purchase does NOT transfer copyright.

Meet the Maker

Hello & Welcome!

My name is Alice, and I am an illustrator and maker creating nature inspired things (with an educational twist) for both kids and grown-ups alike. When I began to homeschool my oldest in 1998, I went looking for lovely, nature inspired materials. When I couldn’t find what I was searching for, I decided to create them myself.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
