About this Product
Seat belt leashes help keep your dog safe in the car. If you have a rambunctious buddy who likes to jump in between the back seat and the front, or in your lap, this will keep them safely in their place. If you want to have the windows open, this will keep them from jumping out. Or, if the worst happens and there is an accident, a sturdy seat belt leash prevents your best friend from becoming a fur missile and getting seriously hurt. It is recommended that you attach this to a harness rather than a collar so as to prevent potential neck injury in the event of an accident or sudden stop.
It is woven by hand with love from Commercial Type III 550 Paracord. This handmade seatbelt clip not only looks cool, but is designed to last for years. For those not familiar with 550 Paracord, it is very durable and strong. The 550 means it is tested to 550 lbs of pull strength. This leash is 48 inches long and has a heavy duty 3/4" swivel snap hook. The cord colors are lilac and chocolate brown
Paracord dog gear is washable either by hand or in mesh bag in a gentle cycle in a washing machine. Air dry only.
This Way or That Way? Leash Company
Meet the Maker
This Way or That Way? Leash Company is owned and operated by me, Heather. It all started a few years ago, when my ex and I decided we were ready for a big change. Initially, we planned to section hike the entire Arizona Trail. We sold or gave away nearly everything we owned, rented out the house, and set off for adventure on the AZT. After that, we had no plan. The name ‘This Way or That Way?’ came from a couple things - the fact that our adventure kept taking unexpected turns, evolving into more of an ‘Exploring the Southwest’ adventure, taking us beyond Arizona to Utah, New Mexico, and Texas. Also, if given the opportunity, that’s how dogs walk, letting their noses lead them ‘this way or that way.’
Making custom paracord dog gear began as a hobby and something to do during quiet days at camp. I’ve always enjoyed making things with my hands, whether it be crafts, cooking, or gardening. Growing up I would help my Mom make crafty stuff to sell at shows or help with her stained glass projects. I loved helping my Dad in his woodshop. I enjoy the smell of sawdust to this day because it reminds me of that special time with him. I’ve enjoyed various crafty hobbies over the years and was quickly hooked by weaving and braiding and knotting paracord. I made so many things for Baron, then for all my friends dogs. Gradually, others began to ask me for custom work and a business was born.
The same thing has happened with pet sitting. Word of mouth and more and more referrals have led me to add this as a second business, which I absolutely love. Before paracord and dog sitting, my background is diverse: retail at various levels, management in the corporate world, sales, and business ownership
I am now on my own and really grateful to be making a living doing what I love. I do still volunteer for a local rescue specializing in German Shepherd Dogs and Belgian Malinois. I’m active in the outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, and backpacking as much as I can.
