Dragonflies - art nouveau pendant - sterling silver 925

Hello and welcome!  

Thank you so much for stopping in, for supporting my small business and allowing me to share my cool wearable art!  

I am a self taught metalsmith, enamelist, cloisonné artist, lampworker, vintage artisan tool and die collector, bee keeper, busy mom and small business owner from Minnesota - land of 10,000+ lakes.  

My favorite things to work with are metals, such as sterling silver, fine silver, and gold. I enjoy stone and cab setting too and work with natural stones, gemstones, amber, and other objects. 

Most recently, I have learned that my beeswax from my honeybees can be used with the ancient technique of mitsuro to create hikime (beautiful natural textures!) So, I have also been recycling silver scraps and have started creating handmade mitsuro art by sculpting my own unique blend of honeybee wax - and have learned to cast my handmade pieces into solid sterling silver or gold - in my little workshop!  While this is very labor intensive and time consuming it is greatly satisfying and I really enjoy it! I also have fused glass to some of these pieces so that they will have color that will never ever fade… doing my part to try and keep our planet beautiful and eco friendly! 

I am often inspired by nature - water, rivers, lakes, flowers, as well as the stories shared with me by others. Story telling through jewelry and special pieces has a long tradition and I enjoy keeping that alive so that each piece has special meaning. 

I also love antiques and enjoy bringing lost art back to life with re-imagined designs and vintage tools.
