We handcraft martingale, buckle martingale and chain martingale dog collars for large and giant breed dogs. Each collar is handcrafted in our studio in North Carolina.
OUR SIZING CHART IS LOCATED IN THE PHOTOS. PLEASE MEASURE YOUR DOG'S NECK OR A COLLAR THAT FITS NOW.
Our 2” wide martingale collars are satin lined for comfort and constructed using heavy duty webbing, heavy duty metal hardware and your choice of styles including martingale, buckle martingale fitted with plastic or metal (aluminum) buckle or a chain martingale. All seams are sewn using a triple box stitch for strength and durability. The breaking strength of the martingale styles is as follows:
Martingale: 250lbs
Regular (Plastic) Buckle Martingale: 175lbs
Metal Buckle Martingale: 500 lbs
Chain Martingale: 350 lbs
NOTE: We do not recommend walking a dog on lead weighing greater than 100lbs on a REGULAR Buckle Martingale. If you are using it for neck ware only it will be perfectly fine

Meet the Maker
The Decadent Dog is owned and operated by Patti Jessup and Curtis Tysinger. Patti is a former large and giant breed dog groomer and is well aware of the strength a collar should possess to properly handle dogs weighing in excess of 100 lbs. She specializes in handcrafting martingale and buckle dog collars and velvet leashes for large and giant breed dogs that are as durable as they are beautiful. Curtis owned and operated a commercial sign business for 25 years. Today in his retirement, he crafts super cute personalized wooden collar and leash holders with "dog butt" hooks for walls to help owners organize their pet accessories. All items are handcrafted in our studio in North Carolina.

Processing time: 1 - 3 Business Days
Payment options: I accept all major credit cards and PayPal. I never receive or have any access to your credit card information. You do not need a PayPal account to use this secure checkout method. Paypal will allow you to use your credit card and check out as a guest.
Shipping Information: I ship USPS Priority Mail (1-3) days. Free USPS Priority Shipping on all orders.
Returns, Exchanges and Cancellations
I gladly accept returns and exchanges. Contact me within 7 days of delivery.
Conditions of return
Items must be in NEW/UNUSED condition
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original new condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Ship items back within: 15 days of delivery
$5.00 Restocking Fee is applied to all returns.
NOTE: Because of the nature of custom orders, I don't accept returns or exchanges unless it arrives damaged or defective.
ALL orders are insured via USPS Priority Mail. If damages occur due to shipping or you have delivery issues, please use your provided tracking number to file a claim with USPS.

Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes absolutely! Please contact me with your details and we can create a custom sized collar just for your dog.
Can I get the collar in a martingale style?
Yes of course. Both Martingale and Buckle options are available in most of our collars in medium, large, x-large and XXL sizes. We can do martingale collars 4 ways, regular fabric loop martingale, chain martingale, plastic buckle martingale and metal buckle martingale.
Do you warranty or guarantee your products?
We guarantee our products to perform well under normal conditions and to be free from workmanship defects other than normal wear and tear for a period of 1 year. This does not include damage incurred by other dogs during rough play or constant scratching at the collar by your dog.. ALL products are field tested BEFORE we market them to insure the best possible customer experience.
Can I machine wash my collar?
Yes, machine wash and air dry.
