Premium, dyed Florida Long Leaf Pine Needles.
These needles have been dyed to a rich Black. Perfect for pine needle basket or gourd rims.
The needles in these 3 oz bundles run between 11" - 14" average and have the caps on.
A bundle of dyed needles is enough to make a small basket or use them along with natural needles as an accent color.
You'll also be able to make several rims on gourds. If kept in dry storage, dyed pine needles will last a long time.
The Process:
Each order is gathered from fallen pine needles, then given a quick rinse to remove loose debris and then dyed to a rich, intense color. They are then cold rinsed and dried before being weighed and neatly bundled into 3 oz bundles.

Meet the Maker
Hello from Florida. I'm Barb Nelson, owner/operator of Pine Needle Basket Supplies, aka Artgal's Studio. You may have seen me on Etsy or Facebook.
A Florida resident since 1974, I attended the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale and hold degrees in Advertising Design and Fashion Illustration. I spent most of my career as Senior Art Director for the S.E. Regional Division of Belk Dept Stores where I designed and produced catalogs and directed photo shoots. Later, I worked as Creative Director for a national outdoor advertising company.
In recent years I discovered pine needle basketry. I now enjoy teaching others at venues throughout the southeast.
In 2007 I began selling dyed and natural Florida long leaf pine needles online and at craft shows. This naturally evolved into making other supplies and accessories for basketry and gourd art.
