Meet the Maker
Kristina has been making wheel-thrown pottery for about 25 years and jewelry for longer than that! She got her first pottery education through extra-curricular classes at university and then community art centers but has since struck out on her own since moving to NJ in 2005. During COVID she used her extra time to design and create ceramic cabochons which she uses in jewelry-making as well as selling to other artists for their creative endeavors. Beadwork has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember, mixing her own experimentation with artist designs. As a member of the South Jersey Bead Society for 10+ years, she enjoys the fellowship and promotion of the ancient art.
How it’s Made
I start by making the ceramic earring drops from clay, creating texture with liquid clay, firing, glazing, and firing again. I then decorate with coordinating Swarovski crystals to add sparkle. Each jewelry piece is lovingly crafted by my hands for you to enjoy!
