Available in your choice of copper or sterling silver, each pendant is hand-sawn with care, layer by layer, to echo the wing’s organic shape and movement. The antiqued finish brings out the fine details, using depth and contrast to highlight the natural elegance of the design. No two are exactly alike, making each piece a small, wearable work of art.
Measuring approximately 5/8" wide by 1-1/4" long, this is strung on a soft suede cord for an earthy, natural feel—but you can easily upgrade to a sterling silver chain if you prefer a more refined finish.

Meet the Maker
Years and years ago, I took a metalsmithing class not knowing what to expect, and it was like learning magic. I got to try melting, hammering, etching, drilling, sawing, and filing metal into new and exciting shapes.
Now, I have a workshop in northeastern Wisconsin where I “magic” my way to pieces I am proud to share. I’m learning new things every day, and the best part? I get to meet and work with lovely people who share their stories to create a keepsake they, or a loved one, will cherish.
How it’s Made
Normally, I find sawing to be a hypnotic, relaxing experience, but the intricate pattern of this pendant is more like a challenge. Cutting out each of these takes quite a bit of time, but I love the end result.
Once the first layer's been cut, it gets soldered onto the backing. I love how the end patina almost makes this feel like it's visually negative because the dark parts are where the light parts are on a real monarch butterfly.
I also cut and assemble the suede cord myself so I can be diligent in finding the best pieces of suede so the final piece feels soft and light against the neck.

RETURNS
I want you to love your piece, but if you don't, I will accept returns of unworn/unmodified merchandise at the full price (see Cancellations section below about custom designed work). Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Contact me within: 7 days of receipt of jewelry; ship the item back within: 14 days of delivery
Please pack the item carefully to minimize tangling or damage.
Returns will be processed in approximately 1-2 weeks after receiving them.
Please contact us first so we can anticipate the shipment and discuss the nature of the return; DO NOT just send the jewelry back without letting me know about the issue. For faster customer service, please provide us with the contact information used on the order.
REPAIRS
I will attempt to fix or exchange a defective item or one that broke during shipping depending on the type of damage sustained. Some items have been etched with patterns that cannot be put back into place if scratched through or chipped off. If it was broken within 14 days of purchase, we will cover shipping both ways.
CANCELLATIONS
Custom orders can be canceled by either the artist or the customer, but please contact us if you have any problems with your order.
Custom items can't be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective.
GENERAL JEWELRY CARE
It is recommended to keep jewelry away from salt water, chlorine, sauna, household cleaners, or any chemicals such as hairspray, perfumes, lotions, etc. These things can discolor metal and remove finishes applied to your jewelry.
