How it’s Made

Hello! Welcome to my shop!

All the items in my shop are handmade by me. I strive to provide great quality and the best customer service possible. I appreciate your business! Enjoy Your Purchase!

Here is the process.

I have a YouTube tutorial video on my YouTube channel, about how I make my journals from beginning to end.

  1. Design: I start with planning a designing the journal. I have to measure and make sure all the elements I want to use fit on the front of the journal. After that, I figure out what colors of thread I want to use on my designs to make them stand out and match the journal. Next is cutting.

  1. Cutting: My journals are made from muslin and 100% cotton. I use stiff interfacing on the inside of my journal to make them firm but playable. I cut my pattern pieces and move to the sewing.

  1. Sewing: Now all the pieces are ready I can sew them together. I use my semi-industrial sewing machine for that. My journals are all different even when they have the same theme and colors, I use different designs of stitches and colors to create one-of-a-kind pieces, so yours looks a little different from everybody else. I think it makes it more special. I do some free-motion stitching on top to attach the lace and other components. Then I move to the last step, hardware, and decoration.

  1. Hardware and Decoration: This is my most favorite step. I can be creative and choose charms, beads, tassels, and other things to decorate the journal. After punching holes use the elastic to put everything together. I add the journals and it is done!
