Why do I need a shave soap bar? I've been shaving with regular soap for years!
If you have wondered about all the hype with shave soap, it is only because you have never tried it! Shave soap bars produce a lather MUCH thicker and WAY MORE emollient than typical bath soap bars. Because of this they soften the hair and produce extra glide and lubrication to enhance the shaving process. These bars were formulated with the addition of shea butter, coconut oil, avocado oil and aloe in order to protect your skin from irritation and razor burn (even the sensitive areas), and will leave your skin soft and moisturized. EUCALYPTUS AND LEMON scented bars work well for both men and women. A wonderfully aromatic and relaxing scent makes them a great way to start your day.
The bars can be used with your bare hands to produce a denser lather than your bath soap. However even more lather would be made using one of my body scrubbers (see bathroom accessories). STILL, FOR THE FULL EXPERIENCE, you should try a shave brush. Shave brushes will make an unbelievable amount of thick, dense, luxurious lather. Just wet the brush and rotate it in the shave soap tin repeatedly. More and more lather forms, the longer you go. All my brushes are synthetic (not badger or boar) so no animals had to be killed to make them. All have incredibly soft bristles and have wooden handles to be environmentally responsible. And the soap container is aluminum and rust resistant. You can leave it in the shower!
You may be going the soap bar/shave brush route to be a ZERO WASTER, but you will stay because the experience is delightful and pampering.

I am Dr. Soaper. I have been working as an OB GYN since 1985 which I absolutely love. My distraction from work has always been crafting, and since 2009 it's been soaping. I love the creativity and I adore the final product and how it makes my skin feel. I am certified as an advanced soaper by the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild and I'm also a formulator of hair, skin, and face products. Everything I sell is made with plant based ingredients, in small batches. My products are only brought to the public after significant efforts to develop formulations that are consistently reliable and effective. And finally all of my products are developed with a ZERO WASTE lifestyle in mind. If I can't package it in glass, aluminum or paper/cardboard, I won't make it. I hope you try one of my products.
