Meet the Maker
My name is Laura and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I use predominantly secondhand materials in all my makes, sourced from thrift stores, de-stashes, worn out clothing/linens, and even plastic film such as poly mailers, grocery bags, and miscellaneous plastic packaging. I have found that there are more than enough quality materials already in existence, that participating in the demand for the production of new materials is unnecessary. I hope you find something that you love and are inspired to see the materials all around you in a new light!
How it’s Made
These garlands are the only item in my shop in which the main component is not sourced secondhand (gasp!). While I do sometimes find secondhand felt sources in large enough quantities, it’s rare. However, the yarn is definitely secondhand, and I frequently use the triangular offcut pieces of the flags in other decorative items in my own home (smaller garlands, weaving projects, mosaic art pieces - not currently for sale).
