Meet the Maker
Greetings to all! Architect by day, by nights and weekends I create art and craft in various media, including stained glass, paper collage, multi-media assemblages, and hand-made paper. Proceeds from the sale of my art and craft go to a Trust for post-secondary education of my great nieces and nephews.
How it’s Made
First, I sketch. Then I determine my color scheme and paint the background - colors custom-mixed. Then I collage. For this one, I did a "thumbnail" collage - the covers of a journal also available in my shop. Pieces are hand cut and layered to create the image. For this collage, I first created a color family collage, then I cut that collage into the image and cut/layered more pieces until I got the effect I wanted. "Field Sentinel" is inspired by something I saw in the Vicenza Italy area.
