About this Product
This beautiful hand built mug has a delicate vining floral design on the outside. It’s glazed in a flowy purple toned glaze, with a deep red/pink on the rim. The glazes have so much flow and depth, you could look at it forever. There is also a fun texture surprise on the bottom!
The hand is a comfortable 3 finger size. This large mug will easily hold 16oz of your favorite coffee, tea, or cocoa.
This mug is so beautiful, it will easily become your favorite.
It is microwave and dishwasher safe, though I always recommend hand washing your favorite pottery. The glazes are lead free and food safe.
Meandering Stream Ceramics
Meet the Maker
Hello! I’m Carrie, the face behind Meandering Stream Ceramics! I took my first pottery class in January 2023, and was hooked. Now I need to sell some pieces to make room in my house, and to support my habit. ;) I’m often inspired by nature and the colorful world we live in.
My day job is teaching singing lessons! Music is my first passion. My husband is also a musician - we met in music school! Our family is rounded out with our 2 adult kids, and our rescue doggo Bailey. We live in the far west burbs of Chicago, but have family connections to Northern Michigan and Newfoundland, Canada. I am often inspired, and awed, by the beauty of where we grew up.
How it’s Made
This mug is hand built from a slab of clay, then textured and formed into a mug! The handle is also hand built, and so smooth and comfortable in the hand, a perfect fit for 3 fingers. Glazes were brushed on by hand, with multiple coats to get a beautiful depth of color.

These are unique, one of a kind, handmade ceramic items. There may be small imperfections, but none that disrupt the functionality of the piece.
Handmade ceramics are made with love and soul, unlike mass produced store items. I put a lot of thought into the creation, shape, and glazing of each and every piece.
It’s this connection that makes them special!
