The Serpent Shield

        I call this "The Serpent Shield!" - It is formed of dragons and serpentine symbols from Scandinavia to the Scottish Picts! I have studied historical originals closely, that includes those at the helm of Viking ships. One reason for those Sea Serpent decoys was to keep at bay the evil spirits that cause storms at sea. I felt they might have a protective quality if recreated properly. And so I went about my talisman process & experienced supernatural phenomenon (continued in "Additional").

       Herein I've etched and form'd Jormigandr, "The Sea Eagle" and other legendary beasts. The original accounts of these beings were specific... I've also woven into the design 100s Norse Shamanic Symbols that have stood the test of time, created by prominent wisemen & shamans throughout History.

In-Depth Meaning

         The Serpent Shield is made of six parts meant to accent areas of either your jacket, cufflinks, purse, leather boots, hat – the sky’s the limit. All six  parts can be joined together to form one pin or pendant. All parts of the Serpent-Shield are held to whatever you wish with ‘super strong’ niobium magnets. 

A Metaphysical Account

        When Skydin was drafting which Viking Ship Serpents these would be modeled from he studied as many that he could find. As he began meditation, then consulting his intuition and drawing how they would look it grew cold wherever he went, and he himself began to get ill. So quickly did this set on that he knew it was the Sea Serpent. This came to mean that if he was going to successfully capture essence of the beast in the design that would carry a similar fierce energy to it he would have to push on. The pain increased yet Skydin never ceased until it was complete.

         (This is from another site) Several clients have written back that the serpentine pieces hold very powerful protective energy. Customers told us that wearing these pieces over areas where there is pain had quickly removed the pain. Chaotic experiences of the day were shorter and less chaotic. A skeptical client wrote that they had noticeably more control over the course of events.

        The lower most parts represent the warrior aspects of these symbols. Etched there are protective and deflective sigils, as well as the serpentine forms and their sigils. The mid area features sacred geometry associated with solar deities as well as Thor’s sacred geometry.
