I have been making and using the Four Thieves Elixir for many years. During cold and flu season I take a teaspoon every day as a preventative. The "Four Thieves Elixir," is a traditional herbal remedy with a storied history. It is believed to have originated during the time of the Black Plague in Europe in the 14th century. According to legend, a group of four thieves used this concoction to protect themselves from contracting the plague while robbing the homes of the deceased and dying.
There are many recipes for Four Thieves Elixir base on the herbs and spices the thieves used. I formulated this recipe years ago and have sold it at Markets from Key West to North Florida.
Thyme:- An herb with antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Rosemary: Has antiviral and antibacterial effects.
Clove: Has antimicrobial properties and adds a strong aroma.
Sage. - colds, flu, fever, respiratory conditions
Peppermint: Adds a refreshing aroma and is known to be antimicrobial.
Hyssop - expectorant, antispasmodic, diaphoretic
I grow most of these herbs, then dehydrate them, crush them and mix them together
and put into gallon jugs. I then add organic apple cider vinegar and let it steep for several months, then strain and bottle it.
Dosage: Add 1 or 2 teaspoons to water or juice once daily.

All of my TINCTURES are made with organic herbs and macerated for 2 months in 80 proof (40%) vodka, then lovingly bottled and labeled. My TONICS, ELIXERS, and CIDERS are formulated from historical recipes or those I have created through research or modified them from herbal guru's. I have created my HYDROSOLS using my home grown herbs using steam distillation.
My MOSQUITO NOSEEUM SPRAY and AFTERBITE ROLLON have been my signature products I created them over 20 years ago in Key West. The Keys are probably the mosquito capital of the US. How it’s Made
I grow and dehydrate most of the herbs in the Four Thieves Elixir then add organic apple sider
vinegar and let it macerate for a couple of months, I then lovingly bottle in 8 oz brown bottles
