About this Product
This vintage vibed glass jar was upcycled from a tall, discarded apothecary. It was decoupaged with the lavender image, which was varnished with a crackle medium for an aged porcelain look. The image is surrounded by clay embellishments, chalk painted and aged with antiquing wax. Then the remainder of the jar was sealed with clear wax and buffed to a satin sheen.

Having semi-retired from professional opticianry, I looked for something to occupy my creative side. I started decoupaging a gallon size pickle jar and was instantly hooked by Mod Podge Mania. Determined to not blow through my retirement savings in one year, I source all of my projects from upcycled and salvaged treasures. This shop is dedicated to all things decoupaged and the philosophy of making something from nothing.
