A truly unique art piece, this antiqued mirror has an embedded image of Frida Kahlo and an antique finish that looks like it has been hidden away in someone's attic for years.
The frame is embellished with a polymer clay skull and flourishes which were then painted with plaster and paint for a chunky, layered paint finish. A final aged patina is added as the final touch highlighting the texture and giving it a real vintage feel.
The dimensions are 5"w x 5.5" h x 1.5"d
Each one is made by hand so variations will occur and should not be viewed as defects. This is what makes each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Meet the Maker
My name is Sylvr Sharp and I'm a mixed-media artist. I have never met a medium I didn't like.
My background is in retail visual display creating window displays and specializing in thematic environments and props. My favorite themes include Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, and Christmas.
Throughout the process of creating I often come across sources of inspiration which I immediately have to try. The products here are the result of those "shiny object" moments.

How it’s Made
I created polymer clay skulls and flourishes which were adhered to a mini wood frame. A plaster paint was applied to create a chunky texture and then aged. For the mirror, the glass is printed on the inside and then a technique is used to create the look of an antique mirror.
Each one will have slight variations due to this being a handmade item. These are hand stamped and all elements are handmade (except the manufactured blank frame).
The slight imperfections are inherent to a handmade piece and add to its charm and unique quality.
